Key Insights

  • God the Master Craftsman knows it all and knows the path He has created for every man to walk on in life.
  • No one is Omniscient except God. We flow with the knowledge He unfolds to us systematically . It’s a lifelong learning and  we are learning everyday. (1 Corinthians 13:12)
  •  Life is about fulfilling the purpose for which He brought us into this world .
  • At the end of the day, it’s about Him, His calling and purpose for our lives . Everyone in this world ( including unbelievers) are in this world to fulfill a purpose but it is when we receive the light of the Word of salvation that we become enlightened in the spirit and actually begin the journey of cooperation with Him in His agenda for our lives (even mosquitoes have a purpose for their existence) – Philippians 2:12-13 KJV
  • At the end of the day , a lot has happened but only one thing matters…fulfilling His purpose – Mathew 24:13, 1 Peter 5:3-4,

Some Important Keys to fulfilling Purpose

  1. Know who you are and what you are called to do . Are you a pioneer or a helper? Are you the glue that binds people together?

Are you the lead fisherman like Peter or you are one of the partners called to bring in the catch? Whichever one you are , as you play that role, God will reward you for it. If you are a partner, when the fishes come in plenty, the Lord will cause the lead fisherman to remember you or remember you Himself. The partner’s boat was also filled. – Luke 5:5-7, Exodus 17:8-13
  2. Don’t accept to get into anything you do not feel is the path God is leading you to, no matter from whom the offer is coming (not even from people we consider to be our  mentors ) eg of a couple who got married in 2 weeks by prophecy.
  3. Celebrate others. Do not envy others and wish you were in their shoes .They may be on their lane and God has their back while they are there but may not have your back if you should ignorantly force yourself there because of need or any other reason other than by the leading of the Holy Spirit
  4. Don’t tabernacle if God intends to move. Recognise the change in seasons when that time comes and its priorities, prerogatives and demands. You may not be required to remain in whatever role you may find yourself in now, forever. He chooses to do new things from time to time. When the new season comes, run to embrace it, don’t drag your feet . – Lamentations 3:22-23 KJV, Isaiah 43:19, Isaiah 42:9, Deuteronomy 2:3
  5. Revisit from time to time, the dreams, revelations and direction God has given you in times past and see what relationship they may have with where you are and where He is sending you to. – Proverbs 4:18

Some Characteristics of the Individual Path

  1. Could be a combination of any of the following:
  •  Lonely ,unpopular, rough, unpleasant, demeaning, uneasy ,inglorious, uncelebrated, unrecognised, unnoticed, perhaps with only few people on it
  • You may sometimes find yourself  among the masses  or with people whom ordinarily you would not hobnob with. Enjoy it and learn some new things from those circles.
  • But will be a path with peace, joy, fulfilment, full of ideas, revelation, passion. If you are in tune, you would wish to remain on that path forever . You’ll not be in a hurry to change paths and will not struggle to impress anyone,  You’ll be relaxed and fulfilled.
  1. People recognise you for what God has put in you and get attracted by it. You become sought after for those things. – Matthew 7:20
  2. It is in this atmosphere of calm and purposeful business, finding time to meditate on the things of God and your life that dreams are birthed and are revived or ignited not when we are too busy on someone else’s lane. – Psalm 63:3, Psalm 46:10-11
  3. If God decides to change your times and seasons to a new tempo where you have the opportunity to spend more time with Him or on His work, you will most likely notice the importance of things you didn’t notice before. Certain values become important for you and you may begin to build up a new store of values.

  4. There may be juicy temptations to take you off that God ordained path. Exercise discernment.

The enemy who is not happy about your moving in tandem with Divine timing, can send you “opportunities”. Opportunities or their rewards or monetary returns should not be the determining factor of our choices. We need to determine our season first and allow that to influence our choices and the opportunities which come our way

Don’t let others decide for you what your path is . The Holy Spirit with your partnership is your best compass.

  1. Check the peace within you and not the circumstances around you.

Let that peace be your guide, your benchmark and umpire and you’ll never go wrong. It will be accompanied by joy which will be your strength. – Philippians 4:7, Isaiah 12:3, Nehemiah 8:10

  1. The key is contentment. – Hebrews 13: 5
  2. Don’t be in a hurry to make anything happen. God is never in a hurry. Caleb began by asking – 2 Peter 3:8, Joshua 14:6-11,

Questions for Reflection

  1. Audit your life for a few minutes. Have you stayed in your lane? Or have you veered off onto someone else’s lane?
  2. What are some of the dreams, revelations & directions God has given you in the past? How do they relate and interact with your present & future?
