When God tests our faith, we develop

  1. a sensitivity to the voice of God (verse 2-4)
  2. the ability for separation (verse 5)
  3. the attitude for positive confessions/declarations (verse 5)
  4. Our dependence on the word of God (verse 6, Psalm 119:105)
  5. Our prophetic abilities (verse 8)
  6. Open eyes to God’s provision (verse 13)

Questions for Reflection

  1. What are some of the tough times you’ve experienced in your walk with God? What did you learn from it?
  2. How can you train yourself to see beyond the tests/trials you experience in your faith?

Prayer Points

  1. To be more sensitive to the voice of God in the times of tests and trials. 
  2. To receive the grace to make positive declarations even when there is no evidence of survival in the test or trial. 
  3. To receive the grace to separate yourself from people, attitudes, and thoughts that could pull you back from reaching the place of provision. 
  4. To receive the grace to live by faith.
